Winter Term 2026
Dear Kingsworth families,
As we begin the new term this winter, we may wish to reflect on what we have accomplished so far this school year and to set intentions for the months ahead—whether that means continuing to do our best or taking the opportunity for a fresh start. Our students from grades one through twelve will soon have the chance to show us what they’ve learned during our Winter Assessment Week, taking place this term. This period offers everyone a moment to understand where they are today and to consider what steps will help them move forward in the best possible way.
It is also a fitting time to think about our termly value: Wellness. The darker winter months invite us to look inward and reflect on what each of us needs to care for ourselves. At Kingsworth, we are committed to helping our students nurture their wellbeing and mindfulness. Our assessments are designed with this in mind, offering clear and meaningful goals without overwhelming them. In doing so, our students learn to approach challenges in a healthy, balanced way—developing the resilience they will need to take on new challenges in the future. Throughout the process, teachers work closely with their classes, providing constructive, supportive feedback to guide their learning.
Another wellness initiative this term is the primary school’s annual Spirit Week. This year’s celebration will highlight our five Kingsworth Values: Curiosity, Inclusion, Wellness, Integrity, and Achievement. Students will take part in daily Value Activities, with wellbeing woven throughout the week. This event has emerged to be a highlight of the school year, and we are excited to share the fun activities with you again this year.
I hope all our Kingsworth families find mindful moments to enjoy these quiet winter months and to appreciate the growing light each day brings.
With kindness always,
Dr Stephanie Mounier
Head of Primary
